The Saptami Tithi of Ashadh Krishna Paksha is considered extremely auspicious for worshipping the Sun God and attaining good health. In the scriptures, this Tithi is said to be the day of special worship of the Sun God, when worshipping cures eye diseases, skin diseases, heart problems, and physical weakness. On this day, taking a bath before sunrise in the morning, offering water, red flowers, rice, sandalwood etc. in a copper vessel to the Sun is extremely fruitful.
Along with this, reciting the "Aditya Hridya Stotra", chanting Surya Mantras, and donating red clothes, jaggery, wheat and copper brings brightness, self-confidence, mental clarity and energy in life.
There is a mythological belief that Surya Puja performed on this day also destroys the diseases, karma and sins of previous births. Ashadh Krishna Saptami is especially beneficial for those who are suffering from long-term diseases or whose lives are dominated by negative energy. By performing proper worship on this day, along with freedom from diseases, one gets the blessings of longevity, health and divinity in life.
