About Puja

Shiv Raksha Kavach Mahamrityunjaya Paath Puja is a very powerful and effective Shiva worship, which is done to protect life, mitigate diseases, protect from accidents and remove the fear of premature death. This special puja has two main parts - Shiv Raksha Stotra (Kavach) and chanting of Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.

Shiv Raksha Kavach is the divine armor of Lord Shiva, in which the devotee prays to Shiva to protect every part of the body. It not only gives physical protection, but also provides mental, familial and spiritual protection.

Mahamrityunjaya Mantra - "Om Tryambakam Yajamahe..." - is the infallible death-conquering mantra of Shiva, by chanting which diseases, death, fear, tantric obstacles, and planetary defects are destroyed.

Under this puja, the Shivling is duly anointed with water, milk, Panchamrit and Bilvapatra, Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is chanted and Shiv Raksha Kavach is recited. This is especially useful for those who fall sick frequently, are surrounded by accidents or feel insecure in life.
